The HistGeogUni global research network aims to connect scholars working on the historical geographies of the university in historical geography, history, the history of the university, the history of science, the history of education and cognate fields with a view to generating research synergies and international collaborative projects.

The research network revolves around the HistGeogUni Annual Lecture hosted by the Centre for Research in Communication and Culture (CRCC) at Loughborough University. It features this Website with blog and an email list that announce and archive relevant research projects, publications, conferences and similar events, and provide links to scholars, institutions and media sites addressing the development, nature, networks and geographies of universities from their beginnings until the twentieth century.

To become a HistGeogUni member, please email Dr Heike Jöns or Dr Dean Bond with a brief summary of your research experience and interest.
