The HistGeogUni global research network aims to connect scholars working on the historical geographies of the university in historical geography, history, the history of the university, the history of science, the history of education and cognate fields with a view of generating research synergies and international collaborative projects.

The research network revolves around the HistGeogUni Annual Lecture hosted by Geography & Environment at Loughborough University. It features this HistGeogUni website with a news & events feed and an email newsletter to announce and archive relevant research projects, publications, conferences and similar events, and to provide links to scholars, institutions and media sites addressing the development, nature, and geographies of universities from their beginnings until the twentieth century.
